When Rendering Pre Masters:

  1. Check all audio regions for bad edits and add fades to regions where appropriate
  2. Leave a small period of silence before the audio starts at the beginning of the render
  3. Leave a period of silence at the end and do not add your own master fade outs
  4. In the rendering settings in your DAW do NOT have normalize function on.
  5. Leave -3 to -6dB of headroom at the loudest parts of the mix
  6. Do not use any effects on the output bus, not even a mix bus compressor for 'glue'. Resisting the temptation to add mastering software to your output bus will give a better end result
